Monitoring and supporting the protection of the Key 1 black rhino population in the Kunene and Erongo Regions of Namibia

Save the Rhino Trust Namibia is responsible for collecting monitoring data on the key 1 population of black rhinos across a landscape the size of a small European country. It is a challenging task which requires accurate and clear data collection tools. Having well-functioning equipment on every patrol will help us to ensure this important data is properly recorded and sent on to the Namibian government for population management purposes.
The funding received from Van Tienhoven Foundation will enable us to purchase additional equipment such as cameras, SMART devices and solar charging boxes which are essential for a successful patrol.
We thank the Van Tienhoven Foundation for the support and contribution towards our goal to have an increasing population of black rhinos, with zero poaching.
